Who am I
From an Arp 2600 to the Recording Academy
I come from a musical family and I have always been fascinated by sound. That fascination turned into programming synths for Art of Noise, Pet Shop Boys, DJ Shadow and Spandau Ballet, then designing sound ROMs for Emu, Ensoniq, Akai and Roland.
These days I write and record podcasts for Sound On Sound, mentor for the Recording Academy, and teach a handful of students a year. I would love for you to be one of them.

Words from the people I have worked with
“As a former professional musician who now works privately in my own studio, I am so glad to have had tuition from Eddie. The engineering techniques he taught me have upped the production quality of my music to another level. Not only does he have an enormous amount of knowledge and experience, he is also a friendly and fun person to spend time with.”
“Eddie clearly loves teaching and sharing his vast music industry knowledge and technical experience. His easy-going yet structured and methodical approach has allowed me to grasp some complex production fundamentals that I had spent years struggling with.”
“I now have numerous releases under my belt, and have just been signed to my number one choice label, Steve Lawler's Viva Music. Thanks for everything Ed, couldn't have done it without you.”
